Koala Compact - Tools Frame Bag

For riders who like to travel light, a full frame bag can feel like overkill — but stuffing a spare tube and multi-tool into your jersey pockets is uncomfortable and unreliable. The NAC Koala Compact Frame Bag is the answer: at just 119g and 153mm × 69mm × 50mm, it's one of the most compact on-bike tool bags available in India, yet it fits a full puncture repair kit comfortably inside.
The water-resistant outer fabric and reinforced zippers keep your spare tube and tools dry even when you're caught in a monsoon shower or spraying through puddles. The soft-backed panel is specifically designed to protect your frame's paint and prevent the bag from creeping or vibrating loose on bumpy terrain. Three mounting positions — top tube, seat tube, or downtube — mean the Koala adapts to your frame layout, whether you're riding a compact road geometry or a full-suspension MTB with a busy main triangle.

Fitting the Koala takes under two minutes with no tools required:
- Choose your preferred mounting position — top tube, seat tube, or downtube — based on your frame layout and riding style.
- Open the Velcro strap and thread it around the chosen tube.
- Press the soft back panel of the bag flat against the frame to ensure the anti-slip material makes full contact.
- Fasten the Velcro strap firmly, ensuring the bag sits snug with no side-to-side movement.
- Give the bag a firm shake to confirm it's secure before riding.
- Load your spare tube, tyre levers, multi-tool, and patch kit inside, and zip the bag fully closed.
Tip: Ensure no brake or shift cable is in the path of the strap before installing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it fit my bike?
At 153mm × 69mm × 50mm it's small enough that frame size is rarely the constraint — unlike a triangle bag, it straps to a single tube rather than needing to clear the whole main triangle. It fits road, gravel, MTB, hybrid, and commuter frames, including compact and small sizes.
Which mounting position should I choose?
Top tube keeps the bag in easy reach and is the most common choice on road and gravel bikes. Down tube keeps weight low and out of your eyeline. Seat tube works well when a bottle cage or a full-suspension shock has taken the other spots. All three use the same strap, so you can try one and move it.
Does it fit a spare tube and tools at the same time?
Yes — a folded inner tube, tyre levers, a compact multi-tool, and a patch kit is the intended load. A road tube leaves more room to spare than a bulkier 29" MTB tube, so pack the tube first and fit the tools around it.
Will it work on a full-suspension MTB?
Yes, and it's one of the better options for those frames. Full-suspension main triangles are usually too crowded by the shock for a triangle bag, but the Koala only needs a clear stretch of one tube.
Will the Velcro strap mark my paint?
The soft back panel sits between the bag and your frame to prevent that. Route the strap clear of brake and shift cables, and if your frame has a matte or delicate finish, a small piece of protection film under the contact point is cheap insurance.
Will it rattle on rough terrain?
Not if the strap is properly tensioned — the soft anti-slip backing is designed to stop the bag creeping loose from vibration. Re-check the strap after your first ride, as Velcro beds in slightly when new.
