For riders who like to travel light, a full frame bag can feel like overkill — but stuffing a spare tube and multi-tool into your jersey pockets is uncomfortable and unreliable. The NAC Koala Compact Frame Bag is the answer: at just 119g and 153mm × 69mm × 50mm, it's one of the most compact on-bike tool bags available in India, yet it fits a full puncture repair kit comfortably inside.

The water-resistant outer fabric and reinforced zippers keep your spare tube and tools dry even when you're caught in a monsoon shower or spraying through puddles. The soft-backed panel is specifically designed to protect your frame's paint and prevent the bag from creeping or vibrating loose on bumpy terrain. Three mounting positions — top tube, seat tube, or downtube — mean the Koala adapts to your frame layout, whether you're riding a compact road geometry or a full-suspension MTB with a busy main triangle.

Key Features

  • Compact 119g design — 153mm × 69mm × 50mm: big enough for essentials, small enough to stay completely out of the way.
  • Water-resistant tough fabric — reinforced zippers and stitching keep your spares dry through light rain and road spray.
  • Frame-friendly soft back panel — grips the frame gently, protecting your paint and preventing the bag from shifting on rough terrain.

  • Fits the essentials — a spare inner tube, tyre levers, multi-tool, and patch kit: everything you need to fix a puncture on the road or trail.
  • Velcro strap included — for a snug, rattle-free fit on any tube diameter.
  • Universal fit — compatible with MTBs, road bikes, gravel bikes, hybrid cycles, and commuter bicycles.
  • 6-month warranty and 15-day return policy.

Installation

Fitting the Koala takes under two minutes with no tools required:

  1. Choose your preferred mounting position — top tube, seat tube, or downtube — based on your frame layout and riding style.
  2. Open the Velcro strap and thread it around the chosen tube.
  3. Press the soft back panel of the bag flat against the frame to ensure the anti-slip material makes full contact.
  4. Fasten the Velcro strap firmly, ensuring the bag sits snug with no side-to-side movement.
  5. Give the bag a firm shake to confirm it's secure before riding.
  6. Load your spare tube, tyre levers, multi-tool, and patch kit inside, and zip the bag fully closed.

Tip: Ensure no brake or shift cable is in the path of the strap before installing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it fit on my bike's frame?
Yes. The Koala is designed with three mounting positions — top tube, seat tube, or downtube — so it adapts to almost any frame geometry, including compact road frames and full-suspension MTBs with busy main triangles.
How much can such a small bag hold?
More than you'd think. Despite weighing just 119g, the Koala fits a standard 700c or 27.5-inch inner tube, tyre levers, a compact multi-tool, and a patch kit — a complete puncture repair kit on the frame.
Will it scratch my frame's paint or PPF?
No. The soft-backed panel is designed to grip the frame gently without scratching paint or damaging clear protection films. The Velcro strap presses the bag snugly without abrasive contact points.
Is the Koala frame bag waterproof enough for monsoon riding?
The water-resistant fabric and reinforced zippers handle rain showers and road spray comfortably. For sustained downpours, zip-lock your electronics inside; for tubes and tools, the bag's protection is more than enough.
Where should I mount a tool bag on a full-suspension MTB?
Full-sus frames have limited triangle space — exactly what the Koala is sized for. The seat tube or top tube positions usually clear the shock and linkage; at 153mm long it tucks where bigger bags won't.
