Frequently Asked Questions
When should I use Dry Lube instead of Wet Lube?
Use Dry Lube during India's dry seasons (October to May in most regions) and in dusty conditions like Delhi, Bangalore, and Pune. It bonds to the chain and repels dust rather than attracting it, keeping your drivetrain cleaner for longer.
How often should I re-lube my chain?
Every 100-200km of riding, or whenever the chain starts to sound dry. Dry lube needs more frequent reapplication than wet lube because dry conditions strip it faster — but it pays back by keeping the drivetrain dramatically cleaner.
Is it safe on all chains?
Yes. The PTFE-based formula is safe for all chain types — single-speed, derailleur, electronic, and SRAM AXS or Shimano Di2 setups. It won't damage seals, jockey wheels, or chainring teeth.
Why does my bicycle chain turn black and gritty so quickly?
That black paste is dust bonding to wet, oily lube — and it grinds your drivetrain like sandpaper. In India's dry season the fix is a wax-based dry lube: it dries to a clean film that doesn't attract dust.
Do I need to degrease my chain before applying dry lube?
For the first application, yes — dry lube can't bond over oily residue, and mixing wet and dry lubes creates gunk. Degrease, dry fully, then apply one drop per link. After that, top-ups just need a wipe-down first.
