A suspension fork is one of the most expensive and mechanically complex components on your MTB — and one of the most neglected when it comes to regular maintenance. India's riding conditions are particularly demanding: dust from dry trails and gravel roads works its way into fork seals between rides, building up layer by layer until your fork starts feeling sticky, sluggish, and unresponsive. The Smooth Seal formula is specifically engineered to penetrate the tight gap between the stanchion and fork seal, lifting and drawing out the accumulated dust, grit, and moisture that causes stiction — the resistance that prevents your fork from moving freely at the beginning of its travel. How to Apply

Full stanchion and seal treatment — takes under 5 minutes:

1. Start with a clean fork. Wipe the stanchions down thoroughly with a clean microfiber cloth to remove surface dust, mud, and old lubricant residue from the outside of the tubes.
2. Apply 3–4 drops of Smooth Seal Fork Lube directly onto each stanchion, just above the fork dust seals. Allow the oil to settle at the seal lip for 30 seconds.
3. Push down on the handlebars slowly and firmly, compressing the fork through its full range of travel 5–10 times. This works the lube past the dust seal and into the wiper seal area, where it will start lifting contaminants.
4. After 5–10 pumps, wipe the stanchions clean with a fresh microfiber cloth — you will see dirt and grime drawn out onto the cloth. This is the contamination that was causing stiction.
5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 until the cloth comes away clean with no visible dirt — this confirms the seals are clean and properly lubricated.
   
6. For dropper seatposts, apply a drop or two to the post shaft just above the collar seal and cycle the dropper up and down several times. Wipe clean.

Recommended maintenance interval: Every 4–8 weeks under normal Indian riding conditions, or after any particularly muddy or dusty ride.
