Frequently Asked Questions
Why is microfiber better than a regular cloth?
Microfiber's tiny fibres lift and trap dirt particles rather than dragging them across the paint, preventing micro-scratches. It also absorbs much more water and cleaner solution per square inch — making washes faster and safer for delicate finishes like matte carbon.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash on a gentle cycle with mild detergent — no fabric softener (it clogs the fibres). Air dry or tumble dry on low. Avoid mixing with cotton items to prevent lint pickup.
Will it scratch a matte finish?
No. The fine microfibers are specifically safe on matte paint, gloss paint, carbon fibre, chrome, anodised aluminium, and clear protection films when used correctly — wiping in straight lines, not circular motions.
What GSM microfiber cloth is best for bike cleaning?
300–500 GSM is the sweet spot: thick enough to absorb fast and trap dirt inside the fibres, soft enough for paint. The Flow cloth is 500 GSM — the premium end — which is why it dries a full bike streak-free.
How many microfiber cloths do I need for bike maintenance?
Two minimum: one for the frame and surfaces, one for the drivetrain. Grease cross-contamination is the top cause of streaky paint. Serious home mechanics keep a third strictly for disc rotors.
