The Clear Frame Protector Essential (7-piece) and Clear Frame Protector 360° (13-piece) are die-cut PPF kits — every piece is pre-cut for a specific zone of your frame, so there's no measuring or trimming. This guide covers where each piece goes and how to get a clean, bubble-free finish at home.
Where the pieces go
Essential (7-piece): covers the highest-impact zones — the areas that take cable rub, shoe scuffs, and stone chips first. Fit the larger pieces to the downtube and top tube contact points, and the smaller pieces where cables touch the frame and around the head tube.
360° (13-piece): full-frame coverage — top tube, down tube, chainstay, seat stay, fork, seat tube, and steer tube. Lay all 13 pieces out first and match each to its zone before you peel anything.
Application basics
- Wash and dry the frame completely. Any dust under the film shows forever.
- Lay out all pieces and match them to their zones before peeling.
- Peel, position, press. Start each piece from one edge and lay it down progressively — never drop the whole piece on at once.
- Smooth outward from the centre to push air out. The 360° kit includes a squeegee for this; with the Essential kit, a firm thumb wrapped in a soft cloth works.
- Press all edges firmly to seal them, and leave the bike unwashed for 24 hours while the adhesive cures.
Gloss or matte?
Match the film to your frame's paint: gloss film on glossy frames keeps the wet, shiny look; matte film on matte or satin frames preserves the non-reflective finish. Both are 210-micron, non-yellowing, and waterproof.
