The NAC C1 Stealth is a 98g machined-aluminium mount that bolts to your frame's standard bottle cage holes and carries your ride essentials — spare tube, multi-tool, CO₂ — without a saddle bag or backpack. Fitting takes five minutes with a hex key.
Installation steps
- Remove the existing bolts from the bottle cage mounts where you want the C1 to sit — downtube or seat tube both work.
- Bolt the C1 plate to the frame using the mounting holes, snugging the bolts down evenly. Don't overtighten into a carbon frame — firm is enough.
- Load the smaller strap: slot your multi-tool and CO₂ cartridge into the elastic loops, and fold your spare tube over the top.
- Place the bundle on the plate and lock everything down with the larger heavy-duty strap, cinched firmly.
- Shake test — nothing should shift, rotate, or rattle. Rough terrain is exactly what the two-strap system is built for, but only if it's cinched properly.
Good to know
- The C1 uses your bottle mounts, so pick the position that leaves your preferred cage location free — many riders run the C1 on the seat tube and the bottle on the downtube.
- Re-check the strap tension after your first ride; new Velcro beds in slightly.
